WHEN PRESENT COMPANY ISN’T AWESOME: Most of the time, the people I approach for Present Company are really great. They’re excited by what I’m doing and are happy to be a part of it. But I’d be lying if I said that happened EVERY TIME. Occasionally, I come across someone who acts like an asshole. And it makes me doubt what I’m doing – which, in retrospect – I realize is ridiculous. But I’m not the most extroverted person to begin with (my mom calls me an extroverted introvert) and walking up to complete strangers makes my stomach flip flop every time.
